After breakfast, we begin our overland journey by road from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi or Timure, small towns near the Nepal–Tibet border. Post breakfast, we drive to Rasuwagadhi – the Nepal–China border point. Here, we walk approximately 1 km to reach the immigration post and complete border formalities. En route, we begin to ascend signi icantly, reaching elevations up to 4,820 meters before settling at 4,500 meters in Saga. You will notice the air getting thinner as we gain altitude, so keep yourself hydrated and warm. En route, we'll have a packed lunch with limited food options. On arrival in Saga, check in and rest. Overnight stay in Saga.
Today is a spiritually significant day as we head towards the sacred Lake Manasarovar. This long drive across dramatic landscapes of Tibet will take around 10 hours. On reaching the vicinity of Manasarovar, we will perform a holy Parikrama (circumambulation) around the lake (by vehicle) before proceeding to our accommodation. Manasarovar is one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world and is deeply revered in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. Overnight stay at a mud house or hotel near the lake.
After breakfast and optional morning prayers or spiritual rituals by the lake, we drive to Darchen – the last settlement before Mount Kailash. This town is also the starting point for the Kailash Parikrama. You can explore the small market town and complete any last-minute shopping. If you plan to hire a pony or porter for the trek, please inform our local team today to make arrangements, as demand is high and availability is limited. Overnight stay at the hotel in Darchen. .

Along this trail, you will get a majestic and close view of Mount Kailash, a profoundly moving moment for all pilgrims. Reach Diraphuk and check into a basic tea house. Overnight stay at Diraphuk. Today is the toughest day of the yatra, involving a steep 22 km trek that includes crossing *Dolma La Pass* at 5,630 meters – the highest point of the journey. The irst 8–10 km involves a dif icult ascent and descent, testing your endurance and faith. After crossing the pass, we reach a tea house where you can rest briely. The remaining trek towards Zuthulphuk is comparatively easier. This leg of the journey is deeply spiritual and requires both physical stamina and mental strength. Reach Zuthulphuk by evening and check into the tea house. Overnight stay.
After a light breakfast, we complete the final phase of the Kailash Parikrama with an 8 km trek, which usually takes about 2 hours.
